A godly woman is truthful, fears the Lord, is disciplined, and puts God first. She is respectful, gentle, peaceable, and trustworthy. Characteristics of a Christian wife can be found in the woman who seeks to serve others, helps the needy, and is a blessing to all. A godly woman works hard for her family. She does not complain but tries to have a good attitude and finds pleasure in taking care of them. This is not always easy but she can do it because her trust is in the Lord and in knowing that He is going to take care of everything. "Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come" (Proverbs 31:25).

Martha was worried about her home and got upset because Mary was sitting at the feet of Jesus instead of helping around the house. As a Christian mother, one must continually look to God to retain dignity and teach children to adopt this virtue.
Having a sense of humor and being able to laugh at self is one of the neatest of the characteristics of a Christian wife. Not a day should go by without having a good laugh. Laughing helps to alleviate stress and somehow manages to make a person feel lighter and freer. A Christian woman with a sense of humor can easily glide through the day even in the midst of troubles. She knows that God is in control and has learned through the years that the Lord has a sense of humor. If this does not describe you then try changing up your daily routine. Find something to laugh at. If you cannot find anything then ask God to help you experience humor. Get outside and play in the rain with the kids. Turn on the sprinkler on a hot summer's day and run through it with the kids. Play with the dog or the cat. Be determined to have a good laugh everyday.
